Connecting Tradeswomen January 2025 update

We have made exciting progress in support of tradeswomen. We have now hosted two Empowerment Roadshows and engaged with partner organizations across the country!

Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy, two Empowerment Roadshow events were held in October in Edmonton, AB and in November in Burnaby, BC. We also received support from sponsors – Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Jardeg, Office to Advance Women Apprentices, Polytechnics Canada, British Columbia Institute of Technology, BC Hydro, Keen Utility, BC Building Trades, Peggy Work Wear, WIRED and Building Builders. Sponsor support allows us to extend the reach of this project and offer more events to women in the skilled trades.

These events provided tradeswomen with professional development, an opportunity to network and mentoring tools. WinSETT hosted nearly 50 tradeswomen at each event! The response was tremendous as reflected in video testimonials found on YouTube. More locations (Atlantic Canada!) and further deliveries including new content are planned for 2025.

Don’t miss out on announcements when registration opens up! You can have your email added to our Connecting Tradeswomen contact list here: Contact

We will let you know when additional Empowerment Roadshow events – both in-person and virtual – will be offered. More information about this project can be found at: Connecting Tradeswomen.
