Project Completion: Reducing Systemic Barriers in Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology To Advance More Women In Sett

WinSETT Centre recently completed this 30-month project. Through this work, WinSETT enabled organizations and empowered women to move forward by helping them address systemic barriers in science, engineering, trades and technology workplaces.

WinSETT Centre recently completed this 30-month project. Through this work, WinSETT enabled organizations and empowered women to move forward by helping them address systemic barriers in science, engineering, trades and technology workplaces.

Specifically, work was completed in the following areas:

  • Developing the WinSETT Maturity model to assist organizations are on their EDI journey
  • Delivering EDI Certificate Program for Managers of SETT Women that provides managers with the skills to improve workplace culture
  • Developing a coaching program (Action Accelerator) for individuals who have taken our Manager Certificate Program or Leadership Skill Builders
  • Updating our website (www.winsett.ca) to make it more accessible and useful to women in SETT, SETT employers and like-minded partners.
  • Positioning women in SETT for success by developing their leadership and career management skills through our various workshops and programs.

This initiative was made possible as part of the funding awarded from Women and Gender Equality Canada.  Members of the Project Steering Committee will be presenting at the CCWEST Conference in Victoria.
